Year 4 World Ocean Day

Image
Today in year 4, we have been busy learning all about World Ocean Day. We spoke about the importance of the oceans and how they are at risk. We also spoke about how we can protect them. After this, we create d our own art work to celebrate the day. We drew our designs in pencil then used a wax crayon to go over the lines. Finally, we used a water colour wash to make them stand out.

Break the Rules Day!

In the spirit of ' Break the Rules Day'   organised by our PTFA, the children choose to "break" selected school rules, such as wearing odd socks, bringing a teddy, having crazy hair, or wearing nail varnish, in exchange for a small donation. All money raised will go towards supporting our school and enhancing opportunities for the children. Thank you for your support with this school event, the children looked fantastic- take a look!

This afternoon, the children were introduced to our new topic (plants) in Science.  The children could name lots of different plants.  We spoke about how plants are all different shapes, sizes and colours.  They even planted their own sunflower.
