Yesterday in maths, the children were learning to subtract on a number line.  The children had to think really carefully about how many jumps they had to do back down the number line.

Creative Homework due today!

Image
A huge thank you for all of the support that you have given getting the Creative Homework done and delivered to school. We've filled the homework board, covered an art board and are now covering cupboard doors! Not in the pictures are the pieces submitted by email but, as the children will tell you, we always show and celebrate their submissions in class.

Team Titans support our Children's Mental Health Week

Image
Year 2 and Year 5 were lucky enough to have fitness sessions with Sam of 'Team Titans' today as part of our dedication to the mental health of the young people at Kelvedon.  It was also a chance for the children to learn how exercise can also support their mental health and discuss healthy eating whilst learning some new 'drills'. Team Titans have also offered to come back after the half term to run sessions with more KS2 classes! We can't thank them enough for their support and encouragement with recognising how important children's mental health and well being is. Titans run after school sessions for our children on Tuesday and Wednesday between 3.30 and 4.15.

WOW WOW WOW!  Myself and Mrs Wilson have been amazed by the creative homework that has been handed in to us. There has been so much effort shown this term and I am so impressed. Thank you to all the adults for helping and encouraging the children to do their homework. It has paid off and there are lots of 6R badges that have been earnt ready to be picked up on Thursday!
