Our Spring Pupil and Parents/Carers Learning Conference will be held on Wednesday 17 th  April and Thursday 18 th  April in the school hall and nearby classroom bases. It is held over two days to enable more appointments to be offered to choose from and give flexibility to parents / carers. Priti Patel MP paid us a visit today to share her Get Witham Growing Initiative, which encourages the learning development of children in horticulture. She presented our year 5 school councillors with a basket of “growing goodies” including seeds, tools and pots.  Emily, Finley, Elizabeth and Troy were fantastic ambassadors and shared some of the activities and learning we have already participated in at Kelvedon and particularly their current topic Sow, Grow and Farm. Some of our children from the Mosaic room also shared the amazing sensory garden they have created, which she was very complimentary about. The seeds and gardening tools will be especially useful when we begin our planting which we are looking forward to doing once the hard work of digging over our gardening plot has been achieved – weather permitting!
