Changes to Nursery sessions for class N1 starting in September 2025 As you may be aware the Government has been increasing entitlement to free nursery funding for more people, and many more parents are now entitled to 15 or 30 hours free nursery funding per week for their 2 year olds. Currently, individual whole day (6 hour) sessions are offered to class N1 pupils. This means that they can only use 12 hours of the 15 provided, unless a payment is made to to up to 3 full days. Butterflies

Image
The children in N1 have enjoyed observing our caterpillars turn to butterflies this term which has linked to our story of 'The Hungry Caterpillar'. We released them on to the flowers and then watched them fly away.

Summer Drinks

Image
The children in N1 made their own summer drinks. They were able to taste the orange, lemon and lime as well as use the squeezer to get the juice from the fruit to make a fruit drink. The children used words such as sour and tasty to describe what they tasted.

What's Missing?

The children love playing What's Missing?  This encourages memory skills when they look closely at 6 objects on a tray and try to visualise them when 1 is removed. Objects are moved around into different positions to add challenge and the children have to state which object has been taken away.

Water garden

As the weather has been so hot this week, we have turned our garden into a water park! All the children put on their swimsuits after they made sure that they had plenty of sun cream on, and had great fun, tipping, pouring, splashing and paddling in containers filled with water.  Let's hope that the sun stays shining!
