Perrywoods Donation

We have recently received a very generous £100 donation from Perrywoods Garden Centre to help improve the flower beds at the entrance to our school.


Last Friday afternoon, three of our year 6 school councillors took a trip to Perrywoods to purchase some plants. Their task was to select some low maintenance, evergreens and to keep within their set budget. 

With the assistance of some extremely helpful and knowledgeable Perrywood's staff, our intrepid shoppers - Layla, Joshua and Ethan - chose a selection of suitable shrubs as well as some bulbs. We all learnt a lot about the conditions that different types of plants require to grow and it was also a great opportunity to put our mental maths skills into practice too!

Mr Taylor's Gardening team will be preparing the beds over the coming weeks so please remember to check out our blog to see their progress.

Thank you again to Perrywoods Garden Centre for your generosity - the plants will help to make a previously rather neglected area look beautiful again.
