Lorna - Jesus the Courageous Advocate

 Lorna began Collective Worship by explaining how her pretend zoo worked.  To get into the zoo, you had to exchange your white coins for red coins.  However, the ratio was 5:2.

Then, inside the zoo, you had to buy the zoo's own pots of pet food to feed the animals with and they were really expensive.  You were not allowed to bring in your own animal food.

Lorna talked about how fair this system was or not.  She then told the story of when Jesus went into the Temple in Jerusalem and found a similar situation happening.  The people had to exchange their Roman coins for Temple coins but the exchange rate was not fair.  They then had to buy an animal or a bird to be sacrificed but again the stall holders were not being fair as they were using incorrect weights and measures.  Jesus became very angry, turned over the tables and accused the temple workers of cheating!

Lorna explained that Jesus is a good example of a Courageous Advocate.  He is someone who stands up for what is right.
