Year 5/6 Football Team Success

On Tuesday, our year 5/6 football team once again travelled to Shurb End Community Pitch to compete in the next round of the North Essex Football Tournament after qualifying top of their league. The day started brilliantly for the team winning the first two games 2-0 and 2-1. Then, we went on to draw the next two games 0-0 against tough opposition. These results were then followed by a 4-1 and a 3-0 win. Our last game ended in a 1-1 draw. At the end of the tournament, we waited patiently for the results to be read out. The team managed to secure first place, beating the other seven teams. This now means that the team will take their place in the Essex County Finals next month. The team showed great respect and sportsmanship throughout the whole day. A massive well done. A huge thank you to all the adults who came to help and support too.
