 Book focus: Big Feelings by Alexandra Penfold



Maths focus: composition of 7, including the 5 and a bit method "7 is made of 5 and 2". We used the 7 Little Ducks song to talk about parts to make 7 using the stem sentence "7 is made of ___ and ____"



PE focus: gymnastics, using apparatus to develop balance, control and coordination.  RJ played a game of Stuck in the Mud because we didn't have our PE kits due to photos.  As a school, we won some Sports funding and so KS1 and EYFS had a multi-skills session on Friday. 

PSCHE/People and Communities focus: we had special visitors to talk to us about being an Optician and an Engineer. We also found out about Sherlock the Fire Investigation dog who has retired after 10 years. This  made us want to find out about more dogs who have special jobs, so we watched a couple of episodes of Dog Squad (Guide dog and Search and Rescue dog).




We have daily Phonics, handwriting, reading and writing sessions.
