Weekly Round-Up 6.3.25
Book focus: we have been making up our own stories this week! We thought about who was in our story, where they were, what happened/what was the problem and then the ending. In RJ, so far we have had a story about a lion who got their tail stuck under a rock; an elephant who got stuck on a slide at the park and a princess who got trapped in the castle because the drawbridge wouldn't go down. Luckily, a knight came along with a long stick, dipped it in glue and pulled the bridge down.
Like the rest of the school, we also read The Word Collector by Peter Reynolds.
We also enjoyed playing some word games this week such as Riddles, 10 Things and Headbandz.
Maths focus: ordering numbers (staircase pattern) and talking about numbers that are more than and less than another number.
PE focus: gymnastics, using apparatus to develop balance, control and coordination.
PSCHE/People and Communities focus: know how we can help our friends and identify some people in our community who help us.
Art focus: line drawings with Mrs Bilbeisi.
We have daily Phonics, handwriting, reading and writing sessions.
