Thanks to all of you who have been practising Phonics with your child - we are very impressed with how they are doing with the sounds and words in their blue books! Keep doing 'little and often' and you will see so much progress!

Story focus: I Want A Friend by Tony Ross



Maths focus: composition; seeing that a number is made up of smaller parts (1s). We used the stem sentence 1 and another 1 makes 2....1 and 1 and 1 makes 3...1 and 1 and 1 and 1 makes 4.  We did lots of lovely practical learning around the 3 (talking about having 'just enough' things for the 3 bears and creating collections of 3 things) and used cubes to create Numberblock 4.






PSED focus: talking about special people 
 

PE Focus: moving in a space and listening to instructions to play simple games. 

We always enjoy COOl Time (Choosing Our Own Learning) and we practise lots of skills during this time
