Learning round up!

In Maths, we have been 'finding the part' using a range of manipulatives to 'prove it'.  We have been finding the missing part using part-whole models, bar models and number sentences.

The whole is ____





We then extended our learning to use our knowledge of part whole using subtraction.  We know the whole number and one of the parts, but have to find the missing part using subtraction.

We can also represent this using bar models, multilink and 'breaking' away a part to see the remaining number, and number sentences.



Science

In Science, we have been learning about ourselves!  This week, we looked at our eyes and what each part of the eye does!  We labelled an image of the eye and also completed a tally showing the different eye colours in our class.




History

Reflecting on our past and present learning, this week we have been learning about the history of homes.  From Celtic roundhouses to present day, we have been learning how homes and ways of living have changed.
