One more and one less!

 

Today we explored one more and one less using a number line.  We rolled the die to get our starting number before identifying the number that was one more and one less.  We had to explain our reasoning through using the stem sentences:

One more than ___ is ___.

___ is one more than ___.

One less than ___ is ___.

___ is one less than ____.
