Some parents have said that the Rhino Reader texts are not working online; w read the Rhino Reader several times at school so please read their blue book and other reading book instead. 


 Story focus: Mad About Dinosaurs! by Gliles Andreae. We have added actions to our poems!


Literacy focus: we have daily Phonics and handwriting sessions.  We now have a Literacy session where we discuss a picture, compose sentences and then write them.  We also have individual reading sessions, practising our blue Phonics book or reading books. 


Maths focus: composition of numbers 6-9 as '5 and a bit', represented in the Hungarian frame (dice spot pattern) and exploring how 10 is composed of 2 parts.

PE focus: Crawl, Climb, Collect


Understanding the World focus: what types of dinosaurs were there? We found out that some walked on 2 legs and ate meat (Theropods) and some had 4 legs and ate plants ( Ornithopods). Flying ones were not actually dinosaurs but flying reptiles!

We always enjoy COOL Time (Choosing Our Own Learning) and we practise lots of skills during this time.
