Science- Following our shadows

 Today in Science, we investigated how shadows change throughout the day. At 9:30am, 11:15am and 2:00pm, we went outside to observe how the position of the Sun affected the size and direction of our shadows. The children worked with a partner, using chalk to draw around each other's shadows at each time so they could compare the changes. We discovered that as the Sun moves across the sky, our shadows change in both length and direction, helping us understand how sunlight creates shadows.
