Year 6's First Week Back!
Year 6's First Week Back!
What a fantastic first week and a bit we have had in Year 6! We have already started making some wonderful memories and have been busy learning, working together and having lots of fun.
In PSHE, we have been exploring what makes a positive person. We created cupcakes to represent the different ingredients that make up a whole person. Just like our cupcakes, everyone is unique, with their own special qualities and differences – and that is something to celebrate! 🧁
We have also been developing our communication and teamwork skills, learning how important it is to listen, cooperate and support one another.
In PE, we have been focusing on wellbeing and developing our throwing and catching skills. We started with one ball and gradually made the challenges harder by adding more balls to our pairs and groups. It certainly tested our concentration and teamwork!
It has been a brilliant start to Year 6, and we can't wait to see what comes next! 🌟
Cake Baking
We had lots of fun baking our cupcakes! We carefully followed the recipe, measured our ingredients and worked together as a team. We learned that each ingredient has an important role in making the perfect cake. We then decorated our cupcakes with unique icing designs to show how everyone is special and different!
PSHE
In PSHE, we have been developing our communication and teamwork skills. We took part in activities that challenged us to listen carefully, share ideas and work together. We discovered that successful teams need trust, cooperation and respect. It was fantastic to see everyone supporting each other and contributing positively!
PE
In PE, we have been focusing on our wellbeing while developing our throwing and catching skills. We started by working with one ball and gradually increased the challenge by adding more balls to our pairs and groups. This tested our concentration, coordination and teamwork, while encouraging us to keep trying!
