Year 6's Wonderful Week!

Year 6's Wonderful Week!

What a fantastic week Year 6 have had! We have enjoyed getting active, being creative and developing lots of new skills.

For outdoor PE, we were lucky enough to take part in a hockey session led by F.I.T.C. The children worked hard to develop their hockey skills, including passing, controlling the ball and working as part of a team. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved and supporting each other.

Our indoor PE lessons have been just as exciting as we began learning how to juggle! It certainly took patience and perseverance, but the children were determined to improve and many managed to keep the balls moving for longer and longer.

In Art, we have been exploring geometric and organic lines. We looked at the differences between these types of lines and experimented with creating our own patterns and designs.

Another brilliant week of learning, teamwork and creativity for Year 6!

PE Indoor

Year 6 had lots of fun in indoor PE this week as we began learning how to juggle! We developed our hand-eye coordination, concentration and perseverance as we practised keeping the balls moving. It was tricky at first, but everyone kept trying, challenged themselves and celebrated their progress throughout the lesson.

Art

In Art this week, Year 6 explored the exciting world of lines. We learned about geometric and organic lines, discussing how they can be used in different ways to create shapes, patterns and interesting designs. We experimented with our own ideas, developing our creativity and understanding how lines can transform artwork.

PE Outdoor

Year 6 had a fantastic outdoor PE session with F.I.T.C. this week, focusing on hockey skills. We practised passing, controlling the ball and working together as a team. Everyone showed great enthusiasm, determination and teamwork, while developing their skills and confidence. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved and enjoying being active!

Have a lovely weekend!
