Our Wonderful Week!
Yet again, the children have had a magnificent week of learning. We are so happy to see a love of learning.
In Phonics this week we have learnt the following:
In addition to these sounds, we have learnt the tricky words I, no and go. For spelling we have orally segmented words using our newest sounds.
Maths has been amazing this week, the children have really grasped the concept of a collection of 3 well. They have been spotting them in the environment and also playing 3 or not 3. Some of the children could even spot collections of 3 that the adults had not thought of.
The children had fun in PE as we used the scooter boards. It was not as easy as it looked and took great core strength and control to navigate space.
Our Rhyme Time has been Dingle Dangle Scarecrow to fit in with Harvest and our book focus was Rosie's Walk.
Just a reminder that we have sent home the Phonics Books today. Please try and help you child with this as much as possible but remember to send your child in with it everyday so that we can work through it in class. If you could not attend the Reading meeting, please refer to the previous blogs for support.
